Lake District Hotels
You won’t find any of the major hotel chains in the Lake District; most accommodation is either family-owned or controlled by smaller groups. However, the area does have a huge range of properties to suit every pocket and taste, ranging from small bed and breakfasts to converted manor houses. Things can get very busy in July/August and on bank holiday weekends. Book well in advance for visits during these periods.
