Go Ape

Based in the Grizedale Forest, Go Ape is a military-style assault course that takes visitors through the forest via a network of swings, rope bridges, platforms and slides.

After a brief training session, participants complete the course at their own pace. They are attached to a safety line at all times.

Children must be aged at least 10 and accompanied by an adult.

I went to Grizedale at Easter 2008. It was good, but Dalby Forest was better. The zip lines were longer and it seemed more of a challenge there. It's still worth going though.

I went to the one in the lakes. Never done it before and I have never been so god damn scared in my life before! Don't go on a windy day! I faced my fear of heights though and the feeling of achievement I experienced was so immense. It is also an excellent way to build up team skills. The girls were the best, would never have done it without them!

This is a great way to spend 3 hours. I completely lost my fear of heights, despite the fact that you have to complete the course on your own.
